We had a great night celebrating our achievements of the past year at the East Midlands Chamber’s Derbyshire Business Awards on Friday.

The event, at Pride Park Stadium in Derby, was a real celebration of the best the county’s business community has to offer and we were in good company as we waited to see if we had won the Outstanding Growth Performance award.

Unfortunately, we finished as runner-up in our category. However, our disappointment was short-lived as today, we learned that we have been shortlisted for another top industry award.

We’ve been named as a finalist in the Contractor of the Year category at the 2018 HVR Awards.

Launched in 2010, the awards, organised by industry magazine the Heating and Ventilating Review, aim to recognise and reward HVAC firms that demonstrate excellence in their field, outstanding technology or true innovation in the way that they operate or in what they produce.

An HVR Award is an independent endorsement of a company’s achievements within the heating & ventilation industry.

The Contractor of the Year category, which is sponsored by Albion Valves, aims to honour HVAC contractors who offer exceptional service and stand out from the crowd.

We’ll find out if we’ve won at a glittering awards ceremony at the Chelsea Harbour Hotel, in London, on 25 October.

Our Managing Director, Peter Crown, said: “2018 has been a good year for awards at PCPM. We won an FSB Small Business award earlier in the year which gave us the opportunity to represent the region at the national awards. It was also great to be shortlisted for a Chamber award.

“However, we are delighted to be named as a finalist in the HVR Awards. These are industry awards in which we will be judged by our peers, which makes the nomination extra special. We are up against some tough opposition and are really looking forward to the awards evening in London to see if we have won.”
